Minutes of a Special Meeting
July 21, 2021
The Gloversville Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners met in a special session meeting that was held at the Gloversville Housing Authority, 141 West Street on July 21, 2021 at 6:00p.m.
Board Members Present:
- Brenda Leitt, Chairperson
- Lashawn Hawkins, Secretary
- John Poling, Commissioner
- Raymond Yorks, Commissioner
Others Present:
- Anthony Casale, Authority Legal Counsel
- Jason Mazur – Executive Director
Chairperson Leitt having called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., at which time rollcall was taken memorializing the presence of all the above-referenced individuals, resulting in a quorum.
Commissioner Leitt, introduced Resolution #817 “Resolution to Fill Vacancy of Resident Commissioner Pursuant to Public Housing Law, Section 34”, with said resolution having been moved for adoption by Commissioner Poling and seconded by Commissioner Hawkins, the resolution was adopted with all commissioners present voting in the affirmative. A special resident tenant commissioner election is to be held on September 21, 2021. Nominating petitions shall be available at all GHA properties as of August 6, 2021 and the last date to file nominating petitions shall be August 20, 2021
Commissioner Leitt introduced the subject of scheduling a public hearing relating to the adoption of the GHA 5-year Plan, with a motion to hold said public hearing on August 9, 2021 having been made by Commissioner Poling and seconded by Commissioner Hawkins, said motion was unanimously carried.
A motion to adjourn the meeting having been made at 6:04 p.m., said motion having been made by Commissioner Poling and seconded by Commissioner Yorks, said motion having carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 6:04 p.m.
